Submission on the Christchurch City Council Draft Central City Plan (September 2011)

The Christchurch City Council’s draft Central City Plan sets out how the Central City will be redeveloped and rebuilt following the 2011 earthquakes.

In this submission the Canterbury DHB commends the Christchurch City Council’s vision of a vibrant and prosperous city. One of our key recommendations is for the draft Plan’s guiding principles to be extended to include a commitment to building a city which promotes social justice and ensures better health and social outcomes for all citizens through tackling health inequalities.
