Expert Care all the way

Rangiora Hospital offers a variety of midwifery care before, during and after the birth of your baby. We are happy to discuss the options available to you. We have four community Midwives based at the Hospital Pat Irvine, Margaret Dolivera, Nita Sheasby and Marja McCarthy.

Your Lead Maternity Carer (LMC) is someone you choose to be responsible for the assessment of your needs and the planning and co-ordination of your care. Your LMC (who might be your General Practitioner, a Rangiora Hospital Community Midwife or an independent midwife) has overall responsibility for ensuring that you have the necessary information and access to services that you may require. The Rangiora Hospital Community Midwives offer midwife care every step of the way. You can self-refer to the Community Midwives or be referred by your GP, specialist obstetrician or independent midwife.

Make yourself right at Home
